EDIT: I only posted this to give Steve a jumping-off point for his inevitable rant about how WoW is better than any FPS, or hand jobs, or Jesus.

  1. I think you're in the wrong line of work MC... perhaps you should consider growing out your hair and getting some good guru gear... setup a small tent near the office ? Get a glass globe and some incense and throw down some fake handmade rugs ! Do that shit up !
It's no surprise to me that Wrath of the Lich King is near the tops... However I find different numbers with regard to sales.
I suspect Wrath of the Lich King outsold Sims 2 by a huge margin.

    1. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack
    2. Spore
    3. World of Warcraft: Battle Chest
    4. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
    5. Warhammer Online: Age Of Reckoning
    6. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
    7. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
    8. World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Exp Pk Collector's Ed

In other news, you can clearly see that WORLD OF WARCRAFT has outsold every other genre and title for the past 3 years at least. I didn't research any further back because I just didn't give a shit :)

  2. Food for Thought.

Note to self : Don't bother trying to convince Messiah Complex to try WOW (he shaves his nuts)

World of Warcraft has evolved since it's launch. I just recently began playing and wish that I had tried it years ago. Blizzard is a tricky company to review for me. On the one hand, some of the things they do are pure genius and despite objections from the community, they aren't afraid to make changes to level the constantly changing playing field. (In-game)
I don't always agree with them and think they are often in over their heads, but credit them for their continued success. I'm glad to be a part of something so challenging.

Only try WoW if you're looking to occupy a few hours a day, or enjoy being challenged to the point of despair on a daily basis. I'm not able to write a review of the game with any skill, but I will be happy to comment often about the things I learn and see in the game.

Everyday I learn something new, see something amazing or get my ass whooped in new and frustrating ways. I am constantly honing my PvP skills and looking for better gear for my toon.
There's so many ways to play WoW, I can't begin to describe it in one post. I'll focus on the PVP aspect of the game.
World PvP would be considered : Engaging the enemy faction randomly and whenever you choose to. You can always try to run from the enemy in game, but you won't always be elusive enough. I tend to stand and fight 99% of the time, and spend my spare time hunting enemy players nightly. I get more satisfaction from World PVP than Premade PVP.
I should explain premade pvp, but I don't feel like it right now. I'll do that later.
    hehe
