Quake Live is a free-to-play, browser-based FPS derived from the multiplayer side of 1999's Quake III Arena. The open beta began yesterday, which you can sign up for here.
Those of us who are refugees from Call of Duty: United Offensive will remember the "feel" of the Quake-style control system, which was one of the things that, in retrospect, made UO the best game in the CoD series.
